Job Description

The Mundy Companies, a leader in the industrial maintenance, services, and construction fields, is currently hiring the following for a long-term position in the Baytown, Texas area:

SECURITY GUARD A

Level II Security Guard License is a requirement for this position.

DUPONT SHIFT WORK

Essential Job Functions:

Enforcing customers security and safety standards.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Enforcing vehicle identification regulations and allowing only authorized vehicles on site. 2. Observing surrounding areas, reporting any suspicious or unusual activities. 3. Operating any site traffic control devices assuring entry of only authorized vehicles. 4. Issuing temporary passes to authorized visitors, guests, and deliveries. 5. Monitoring of alarm systems, site access system, and security and safety radios. 6. Maintaining daily log book. 7. Preparing of visitor passes when notified in advance of visit dates. Greeting visitors, verifying appointments, and directing them to the proper buildings/operations. 8. Answering site telephones when needed. 9. Dispatching mobiles to problem areas. 10. Signing in/out deliveries from contractors. 11. Insuring contractor entry and egress rules are followed. 12. Random inspection of contractor vehicles. 13. May perform weightmaster duties. 14. May perform mobile patrol duties as needed.

Physical Demands:

Strength rating - light. Spends most of the workday standing on feet or working at a desk. The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety, team safety, and environmental awareness at all times. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing is also required. Qualified candidates will be able to pass a criminal background check, substance abuse test, and other specific tests required.
