Armed Security Officer :

We are seeking a professional and dependable Armed Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have previous armed security, military, or law enforcement experience and possess strong knowledge of security procedures and Texas laws related to detaining, arrests, and use of force.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Texas Driver's License

Ability to read and write in English

Current Texas DPS-PSB Commissioned Security Officer License Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in armed security, military, and/or law enforcement

Extensive knowledge of detaining, arrest, and use-of-force laws

Must pass required pre-employment and post-employment drug screenings

Must successfully complete a 40-hour Advanced Level Security Officer Training Program

Must possess a personal smartphone with a current operating system, unlimited cellular service plan, GPS capability, and the ability to capture photos and videos

Must provide own duty rig and service weapon

Must be certified in and possess at least one intermediate weapon (OC Spray, Baton, and/or Taser)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors

Respond to suspicious activities, emergencies, and disturbances

Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout campus property

Prepare and submit daily activity reports and incident reports as required

Enforce company policies and security procedures

Observe and report safety hazards and security concerns
