This role combines security awareness with exceptional customer service by providing a visible presence throughout the property, responding to calls, monitoring hotel facilities, and assisting with safety and emergency procedures. The Courtesy Officer serves as a professional ambassador of the hotel while helping to protect guests, staff, and assets. Duties Conduct routine patrols of hotel grounds, guest floors, parking areas, lobbies, and common spaces. Provide a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other unwanted activities. Assist guests, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner. Respond promptly to guest concerns, disturbances, noise complaints, and security related calls from Front Desk staff or General Manager. Monitor entrances, exits, parking facilities, and public areas for suspicious activity. Assist with emergency situations including medical incidents, fire alarms, evacuations, and security threats. Prepare detailed incident, accident, and daily activity reports. Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency medical services when necessary. Ensure hotel policies, safety regulations, and guest conduct standards are followed. Investigate and document property damage and guest complaints. Monitor surveillance systems and security equipment as assigned. Support hotel management during special events, VIP visits, and high-occupancy periods. Be available and flexible during the day to respond to calls if needed.

Qualifications At least 21 years old. Be a U.S. citizen or have valid, legal authorization to work in the U.S. Have a clean criminal record. Disqualifications include felony convictions, active warrants, or certain Class A/B misdemeanor charges/convictions. Have NOT committed any offense outlined in the Texas Administrative Code Rule §35.4, which includes assault, theft, fraud, burglary, or deadly weapon offenses.
