Event Security | Stadium Security | Venue Security Position Summary We are seeking a motivated, professional, and dependable Security Shift Lead to provide frontline leadership and operational oversight for security personnel assigned to a large stadium and event venue environment in Houston. This role is ideal for an experienced security professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-attendance environments and can confidently lead teams during sporting events, concerts, festivals, and special events. The Shift Lead serves as the primary point of contact for assigned officers and is responsible for ensuring security operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and client expectations. The successful candidate will lead by example, maintain accountability, communicate effectively, and make sound decisions in dynamic situations while delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision Provide direct supervision and support to assigned Security Officers during each shift. Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate post assignments, expectations, and event-specific information. Monitor officer performance and ensure compliance with post orders, policies, and procedures. Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethic. Address operational issues, employee concerns, and staffing needs as they arise. Ensure all team members maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Operations & Security Oversee security operations during sporting events, concerts, and other large-scale venue activities. Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety, security, and operational readiness. Monitor access control points, screening areas, crowd management zones, and restricted areas. Respond to incidents, disturbances, emergencies, and guest concerns in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate with venue management, event staff, emergency personnel, and law enforcement when necessary. Complete incident reports, shift activity reports, and other required documentation accurately. Team Accountability Verify officers report to assigned posts on time and remain compliant with operational requirements. Adjust staffing assignments as needed to meet changing operational demands. Coach and mentor officers to improve performance and service standards. Assist with training and onboarding of new personnel. Ensure all personnel maintain situational awareness and follow safety protocols. Customer Service Provide a visible and professional security presence. Assist guests, patrons, employees, and vendors with questions or concerns. Resolve conflicts professionally while maintaining a safe environment. Represent the company positively through exceptional customer service and communication. Minimum Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older . Valid and active driver's license with an acceptable driving record. High School Diploma or GED. Ability to successfully complete all required background screenings, licensing requirements, and training programs. Ability to operate company vehicles, golf carts, or other authorized patrol vehicles when assigned. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work flexible schedules, including: Nights Weekends Holidays Extended shifts Special events Preferred Qualifications Previous security experience. Previous stadium, venue, event, entertainment, or crowd management experience. Experience in hospitality, military, public safety, loss prevention, or related fields. Prior leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience. Experience managing personnel in fast-paced environments.
