As an Armed Security Officer, you will be the first line of defense, ensuring safety through proactive patrolling, access control, and incident management. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patrols of premises using CCTV surveillance systems and physical security measures to detect suspicious activity or security breaches. Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors. Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed reports, managing conflict de-escalation, and executing emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols. Utilize firearm handling skills responsibly while adhering strictly to security regulations and legal standards. Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for security equipment or incident management. Provide first aid and CPR when needed; operate AED devices confidently during medical emergencies. Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations by performing background checks and gathering incident evidence. Use surveillance tools like CCTV cameras and conduct visual inspections to monitor premises continuously. Support loss prevention efforts through vigilant observation and proactive intervention against theft or vandalism. Qualifications Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with a strong understanding of physical security principles. Valid firearm handling certification and familiarity with Taser use are highly desirable. Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures. Knowledge of CCTV systems, access control systems, incident report writing, and surveillance techniques. Ability to perform conflict management and de-escalation effectively in high-pressure situations. Physically capable of performing heavy lifting and manual handling tasks; comfortable patrolling large areas on foot or via vehicle. Strong communication skills with the ability to document incidents clearly and accurately while maintaining professionalism at all times.
