Job Summary The Security Guard ensures the safety and security of our personnel, visitors, and property. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests and employees, requiring exceptional customer service and professionalism. The position involves patrolling premises, controlling access, monitoring for safety hazards, maintaining visitor logs, deliveries, and exports , controlling access to the facility through the admittance process, and responding to incidents and emergencies. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required) Excellent verbal and written communication skills , a bility to maintain composure in high-pressure situations , English proficiency , working knowledge of or willingness to learn security operations and procedures , s trong interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer service skills , attention to detail , and excellent attendance. Must be able to effectively handle potentially difficult situations in a fast-paced environment , and work overtime, including weekends , as needed . Active Level 2 Guard Card from the State of Texas with some experience within the last 6 months Preferred Qualifications Prior security or law enforcement experience , CPR or First Aid certification , f amiliarity with visitor management systems and access control tools , and being b ilingual (English/Spanish) .

Work Environment The Security Guard job is performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold . This role includes f requent interaction with visitors, vendors, and employees . Must remain alert and attentive while on duty, whether stationary or patrolling . Physical Demands The position requires regular standing, walking for extended periods , lifting (up to 25 pounds) , and occasional sitting and moving up to 50 pounds . Must be able to use their hands for tasks, reach with their arms, and communicate verbally . Visual acuity required for surveillance and reading reports/logs , a bility to respond quickly and physically to emergencies . Close, distance, color vision, depth perception, spatial consciousness, and the ability to adjust focus.
