Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic security team as a Security Officer and play a vital role in safeguarding our facilities, personnel, and assets. This energetic position demands vigilance, quick thinking, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe environment. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring premises through surveillance systems, managing access control, and responding effectively to incidents. Your dedication will help ensure the safety and security of everyone on-site while supporting loss prevention initiatives.
Schedule:
Thursday, Friday, & Saturday 3pm-11pm
Pay Rate:
$18/hr Must have an Active Texas State Guard Card and an Active and Valid Driver's License Responsibilities Monitor surveillance footage using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure premises are secure. Control access points by performing background checks on visitors, contractors, and staff to maintain a secure environment. Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations. Conduct routine patrols of the facility, including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when necessary, to identify potential hazards or breaches. Administer first aid or CPR in emergency situations and operate AED devices to assist injured individuals. Perform security checks such as visual inspections, fence checks, and yard audits to prevent theft or vandalism. Maintain detailed incident reports, shift logs, and security records accurately for future reference and compliance. Requirements Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly preferred. Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and familiarity with loss prevention techniques. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is desirable; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if not already held. Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling safely and effectively. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure during emergencies or disputes. Experience conducting background checks and performing security assessments is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure thorough reporting and documentation.
