- Job Description
- As a reclaim operator you will be responsible for processing and recycling scrap plastic materials using reclaim equipment while supporting efficient production operations. Reporting to the

- Responsibilities
- + Remove scrap plastic from gaylords and process material through reclaim machinery.
+ Set up, operate, and monitor reclaim equipment to ensure compliance with operating specifications.
+ Ensure efficient and economical use of materials and help reduce wasteful practices.
+ Unload trailers and stock packaging supplies.
+ Maintain compliance with
ISO 9001
‑2000 departmental standards.
+ Operate a forklift safely to transport scrap material.
+ Follow all required safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Qualifications
- + High school diploma or GED, preferred.
+ Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.
+ Must be able to drive a forklift.
+ Extrusion experience preferred.
+ Ability to troubleshoot extrusion equipment is preferred.
+ Mechanically inclined.
+ Experience in a teamwork‑oriented environment is a plus.
+ Working knowledge of extrusion or converting equipment and processes desired.
+ Manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively.
+ Must be able to wear required PPE, including eye protection, hearing protection, and steel‑toe shoes.
+ Must be able to frequently stand, stoop, and bend to pick up and move material within the reclaim area.
- Physical Requirements
- + Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. regularly. + Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift. + Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Work Environment
- + Production/manufacturing setting. + Exposure to moving machinery, plastics, and moderate noise levels. + Required use of PPE at all times.
