About us Commonwealth Law Enforcement Services (CLES) is currently hiring full-time Security Officers for evening and weekend on-site patrol assignments throughout both Hampton and Newport News, Virginia. This position is ideal for dependable, professional individuals who prefer working independently in a structured environment without constant micromanagement. Our officers patrol apartment communities and HOAs (8-10 hour shifts) while providing a visible security presence, documenting incidents, and helping protect private property and residents.

Primary Responsibilities:

Patrol apartment communities and private neighborhoods Maintain visible security presence during evening and overnight hours Observe and report suspicious activity or safety concerns Complete nightly reports and documentation Respond professionally to incidents and resident concerns Work independently while maintaining radio communication with dispatch and supervisors

Requirements:

Valid Driver's License (REQUIRED) Reliable personal transportation Ability to consistently work evenings and weekends Professional communication skills Good judgment and reliability Ability to work independently with minimal supervision No prior security experience? We can help train the right person. CLES offers PAID training and assistance obtaining Virginia DCJS Security Officer certification for qualified applicants.
