Overview Join our dynamic security team as a Security Officer and play a vital role in safeguarding our facilities, assets, and personnel. This energetic position involves proactive surveillance, incident prevention, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. You will be the first line of defense in maintaining a safe environment, utilizing your keen observation skills and customer service mindset to support a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Duties Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks. Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras and access control systems to oversee activity and respond swiftly to suspicious behavior or incidents. Manage access control by verifying identities, performing background checks on visitors or contractors, and issuing security passes as required. Respond promptly to emergency situations by following established procedures, including fire safety, medical emergencies, or conflict de-escalation. Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences with clarity and accuracy for future reference. Perform physical security tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary, manual handling of equipment, or setting up security barriers. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or emergencies to ensure proper procedures are followed. Skills Proven experience with surveillance techniques and CCTV monitoring systems. Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and emergency response protocols. Ability to perform first aid, CPR, AED operation, and handle firearm or Taser if certified. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Familiarity with access control systems and performing background checks. Excellent customer service skills combined with professional communication abilities. Physical fitness for patrolling duties including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks. Understanding of security regulations, compliance standards, and loss prevention strategies.
