Job Description

Description The Part-Time Guard Shack Attendant supports safe and efficient truck access by checking commercial trucks in and out, recording required information accurately, monitoring security cameras, and providing courteous service to drivers. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly while following established site procedures. Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet truck drivers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Check trucks in and out of the facility and verify required information or documentation.
  • Accurately record truck, trailer, driver, carrier, appointment, arrival, departure, and other required details.
  • Provide drivers with clear directions and communicate relevant arrival or departure information to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor security cameras and remain alert for unusual, unauthorized, or unsafe activity.
  • Report discrepancies, suspicious activity, safety concerns, or incidents promptly according to established procedures.
  • Maintain organized, complete, and confidential gate records.
  • Follow company safety, security, access-control, and emergency procedures.
  • Keep the guard shack and immediate work area clean and orderly.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong customer service, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work the scheduled hours consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate written or electronic records.
  • Ability to remain alert, professional, and calm while handling multiple priorities.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established security and safety procedures.
  • Basic computer or data-entry skills preferred.
