401(k) Job Summary The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the Spaulding Clinical Research campus by conducting routine patrols, monitoring security systems, documenting incidents, and responding appropriately to security or facility concerns. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Patrol the campus to maintain a safe and secure environment. Monitor surveillance cameras and security equipment. Report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and facility maintenance issues. Enforce company policies and security procedures. Complete incident reports and document observations, occurrences, and investigations. Interview witnesses and gather information as needed. Respond professionally to emergencies and security-related incidents. Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable legal requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Strong observation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Previous security or related experience. Knowledge of basic security and fire protection systems. Familiarity with building safety procedures and applicable regulations. Experience de-escalating situations through effective verbal communication. Frequently sit, stand, and walk throughout the shift. Use hands and arms to reach, handle, and operate equipment. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Maintain clear near and distance vision, including the ability to distinguish colors. Work Environment This position may involve exposure to: Bloodborne pathogens Toxic or caustic chemicals Compensation & Shift Premiums In addition to the posted base hourly wage, this position qualifies for the following shift differentials: PM Shift (3:00 PM
  • 11:00 PM): +$2.00/hour (+$3.00/hour overtime) Night Shift (11:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM): +$3.00/hour (+$4.50/hour overtime) Weekend Shift (Friday 5:00 PM
  • Monday 7:59 AM): +$3.
00/hour (+$4.50/hour overtime) Employees working eligible overnight weekend shifts may receive both the Night Shift and Weekend premiums, increasing earnings above the posted base hourly wage. Spaulding Clinical Research reserves the right to consider an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience when evaluating candidates.
