Job Description
Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Lead Security / Access Control Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and servicing of access control, CCTV, and electronic security systems. This position requires a professional with strong technical expertise, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to ensure all work is completed in accordance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Leadership and oversight of security technicians on assigned project sites Installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of access control, CCTV, and electronic security systems Installation and verification of electronic door hardware, card readers, CCTV cameras, and related components Troubleshooting and resolution of system malfunctions Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation including service records and system configurations Interpretation of blueprints, riser diagrams, and scope documents to ensure accurate project execution Coordination with project managers, general contractors, and clients to support efficient workflow Assistance with system design, modification, and enhancement including recommendations for expansions or replacements Research and analysis of test measurements to support system performance improvements Management of job‑site readiness, tools, and materials while upholding safety and quality standards Qualifications High school diploma or GED 3-5+ years of experience as a Lead Security / Access Control Technician Familiarity with tools, materials, and equipment used in security system work Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents Experience with access control and CCTV platforms such as Kantech, S2, Avigilon, and Honeywell (preferred but not required; all systems supported)
