POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting in the continuing operation and maintenance of the surveillance system. This position will assist with all assigned surveillance equipment, including the authorized inventory. Other duties include maintaining the documentation and equipment service records; submitting monthly equipment status and accountability reports of work in progress, scheduled, and work completed as directed by the Surveillance Technician Supervisor. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the Gaming Commission's policies and procedures and applicable laws. Meets with the Surveillance Technician Supervisor and Surveillance Technician Manager on a regular basis to address observations, relative to gaming compliance and Surveillance Department operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Become familiar with the operation and maintenance of all assigned surveillance equipment.
• Perform preventative and remedial maintenance of cameras, domes, and associated equipment as directed by Surveillance Technician Supervisor, Surveillance Technician Manager, and Surveillance Commissioner.
• Work while utilizing ladders, and or mechanical/hydraulic lifts.
• Maintain current service logs, records and maintenance files of surveillance equipment.
• Create new service logs/documents as directed by Surveillance Technician Supervisor.
• Perform the necessary actions and procedures upon installing and or relocating surveillance equipment as designated and or assigned.
• Run and terminate wire throughout the facility as needs arise for camera installation or movement.
• Inform Surveillance Technician Supervisor of equipment inventory levels.
• Abides by Tribal Gaming Agency confidentiality policies.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Surveillance Technician Supervisor, Surveillance Technician Manager and Surveillance Commissioner.
• Must be willing to attend training to include traveling out of state and or cross-country.
• Must be willing and able to work any shift including split shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available for rotating on-call shifts.
• Poor attendance or a poor attitude will not be tolerated. An excellent attitude and appearance is dictated and demanded at all times.
• Required to drive to other work locations, both on and off premises.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

• High school diploma or GED - Associate degree or directly related scholastic experience desirable.
• Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a high-level team member to Surveillance and Casino Management.
• Knowledge of automated reporting systems is essential.
• Must be able to obtain and successfully maintain MEWP Boom and Vertical Lift certifications.
• Knowledge of personal computerized applications essential, including spreadsheets, word processing, preferably experience with Microsoft Applications including Excel and Word.
• Must have knowledge of Machine/s, Tool/s, Equipment, Work Aid/s (MTEWA): Desktop computers, Special purpose telephones - multi-line telephone systems, Two Way Radios, Video/Camera Wall, Scanners, Microsoft Office software, as well as iTrak Reporting System.
• Must possess and maintain a California Drivers License.
• Must meet requirements to qualify for a Chicken Ranch Gaming License. Must pass an extensive background security check. Can have no felony convictions and no serious misdemeanor convictions. No record of criminal convictions of any kind within the past five years.
• Must be able to professionally represent the Tribal Gaming Agency and Tribe in public and must be experienced in communicating in person, telephone and by Email or text messages.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination in preparing reports using a computer keyboard. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Acute hearing is required. Typically, office work setting conditions. Frequently must be able to lift up to 10 pounds, normally must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, and occasionally must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. May be exposed to loud noises and smoke found in a casino environment. Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Furthermore, required to work in the gambling establishment in a non-smoke free environment. Normally, but not guaranteed, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; extended hours, weekends, and holidays may be required. ( subject to change )
