Then you might be the perfect fit as a Public Advocate Investigator I in the Shelbyville Trial Office of the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy. The Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy is the Commonwealth's largest criminal defense firm and is tasked with representing people who are charged with both felonies and misdemeanors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Conducting investigations on behalf of our attorneys and our clients. Locating and interviewing clients, witnesses, and prospective witnesses. Conducting background searches. Serving Subpoenas. Preparing exhibits and testifying in court. Searching for, preserving, and transmitting physical evidence for examination. Locating and obtaining documents. Writing reports and memorandum. Assisting the team in formulation of the defense theory. Other duties as assigned or needed. Skills and Expectations include but are not limited to the following: Strong planning and organization skills. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. EDUCATION
