Responsible for maintaining constant up-to-date knowledge of agency policy and procedures, rules and regulations governing the inmate disciplinary process. Investigates charges and develops all avenues of advocacy necessary to ensure that full due process is afforded the inmate during disciplinary hearings. Interviews witnesses and presents supporting evidence. When security mandates, will be present on the inmate's behalf and safeguards the interests of the inmate during testimony. Establishes good working relationship with institutional staff in order to effectively gather facts relating to inmate disciplinary cases. Position is located at Allendale Correctional Institution. Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
