Job Description

Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher Full Job Description Little Friends Infant Toddler Center is hiring a full-time (40+ hour) Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teacher for its Infant/Toddler classroom to start as soon as possible. Candidate needs to have very strong leadership skills as the position is for the Lead Teacher position within the classroom, while being a team player. Candidate will be working alongside another ECE Teacher and teacher assistants. Applicant must be available to work Monday - Friday, between the hours of 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM. Hiring is pending resume and qualifications review, background check, fingerprinting by the Dept. of Investigation, an interview in person and a minimum of 1 or more demo. lesson plans with the infants to evaluate candidates interaction with young children. Responsibilities and Duties It is important for us to find a candidate that is a team player, experienced, professional, caring, patient, well spoken, reliable, and who truly has a love and passion for working with infants. Some of the responsibilities you will have include, but are not limited to: Helping Infants develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills while following and implementing the program's curriculum Creating a warm, inviting classroom environment with different sights, sounds and textures that is safe, clean and hazard free Conducting daily developmentally appropriate classroom activities Being a leader and a team player, willing and able to work with all types of people and personalities Forming strong relationships with families and having open daily communication Maintaining individual daily records with details regarding sleeping, eating, diapering, etc. Coordinating meal/ snack/ bottle preparation Diapering children daily.
Education:
a) NYS Teachers Certification OR b) Masters Degree in "Education"/"Early Childhood Education" OR c) Bachelors Degree in "Education"/"Early Childhood Education" OR d) BA in ANY field AND currently enrolled towards a degree in Early Childhood Education Must have a flexible schedule. Must be available to work between the hours of 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday. (Position is Full-Time/ 40+ hours per week). Must be at least 21 years of age. Must LOVE to teach and educate young children Applicant will need: Criminal Records Background Check & Fingerprinting by the Dept. of Investigation CPR/First Aid Certification Child Abuse & Maltreatment Training SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) Training SBS (Shaken Baby Syndrome) Training Medical Exam/TB Testing 3 Letters of Reference from previous employers and/or professors
