Lead Mechanic/Shop Supervisor

Family owned and operated Local Trucking and Excavating company is looking for a Lead Mechanic and Supervisor for our shop. Candidate should have heavy duty diesel mechanic experience and ability to supervise 4-6 other mechanics. Hours are generally 1st shift with the occasional long day with overtime, Monday thru Friday. Candidate would be responsible for overseeing all preventative maintenance and repairs for a fleet of dump trucks and excavating equipment. Candidate would also be responsible for ordering parts and maintaining inventory of routinely used parts.

Applicant should possess:

Heavy Duty Diesel mechanic skills Electrical & Hydraulic mechanic skills Ability to communicate with vendors Ability to research parts needed, value and quality Ability to prioritize work & tasks for entire shop Ability to use app based preventative maintenance schedules

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
