SUMMARY The Lead ILS Overnight works as part of an Intensive Residential Treatment Services Team that provides care, treatment and rehabilitation for persons served who are experiencing significant mental health/psychiatric symptoms; who are demonstrating significant functional impairments; and who may have co-occurring disorders. The Lead ILS Overnight provides some supervisory oversight by assisting site supervisors with scheduling, training, and providing guidance to overnight staff. The Lead ILS overnight will have a home site and will travel to the site where there is the most need.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below. Promote residents' physical, social, and psychological well-being by providing individual interventions. Interacts frequently and positively with residents and support staff to promote the rights of the residents to achieve an enhanced quality of life. Completes new hire training for overnights and OJT checklist for each site as needed. Observes performance of overnights and provides feedback. Expresses positive expectations of others, even in difficult situations. Delegates tasks or responsibilities for the purpose of developing other's abilities. Rewards good performance and promotes employee recognition. Completes corrective actions with site supervisors. Coordinates staff training designated to meet staff educational needs, licensing standards and consumer needs. Encourages staff to report issues of non-compliance through appropriate channels. Complete employee evaluations in coordination with site supervisors. Supervises operations to ensure compliance with contractual, legal and regulatory requirements. Provides and promotes consumer choice and facilitate independence. Travel to site where the highest level is needed deemed by supervisor and Clinical Directors. Follow agency procedures to promote optimum health care safety practice and behavioral supports to maintain the well-being of residents. Administrative duties (scanning, faxing, organizing). Completes necessary cleaning and all responsibilities on the overnight checklist. Provide group and individual services for clients. Attends Evening and Morning Crossovers to obtain and provide pertinent updates for residents. Teach clients independent living skills. Develop and maintain a cooperative working relationship with various teams. Other tasks assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages assigned personnel. Completes performance evaluations, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities. Minimum Knowledge and Skills required for the Job The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required to perform the job.
Education and Experience:
GED or High School Diploma with 4,000 supervised hours in the delivery of services to adults with serious mental illness. Bachelor's degree preferred in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
