Lead Security Officer

UNICOM Global is looking for a capable, motivated Lead Security Officer to join our team. The Officers of the UNICOM Science & Technology (USTP) Security Department are customer-service-oriented and provide routine and emergency response on a 24-hour basis, seven days per week, year-round. Shift Commanders staff the Security Command Center while Mobile Officers provide continuous foot and vehicular patrols. This position must be seen by the customer as bringing tangible value in terms of experience, knowledge, and expertise. Candidates must be articulate, fast to learn, and collaborative. The Security Officer will work at USTP located in White House Station, NJ. This position is 40 hrs. per week. Security Officer Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Military/law enforcement/security experience preferred SORA is not required at this time Responsibilities and Duties Services provided by the Security Department include but are not limited to: Maintain safety and security of the USTP facility in Whitehouse Station, NJ. Perform periodic roving patrols via employer provided vehicle. Respond to medical and/or fire emergencies. Front gate security, including greeting guests, checking ID, providing directions, and escorting VIP guests. Investigation and follow-up reports of various security related incidences. Reporting of any facility related maintenance or repairs. Any other requirements and duties as needed. Protection of life and property Preservation of the peace Crime prevention, detection, and investigation Safely and expeditiously regulating traffic flow and parking Observing and reporting any unusual/suspicious activities Conduct Deggy Security Tour System tours of the USTP complex Incident documentation Responding to fire alarms, medical assistance, and other emergencies Providing escorts as required Regulating and monitoring site access Issuing and monitoring security identification to authorized personnel Act as a liaison with local law enforcement and emergency service agencies Providing non-security related services to all persons in need of assistance

Qualifications Proven experience in security operations, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with leadership responsibilities Strong knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and alarm systems Certified in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in conflict management or loss prevention are highly desirable Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and emergency response protocols Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining high attention to detail Prior experience with security technology tools including CCTV monitoring systems is preferred Join us as a Lead Security Officer to make a tangible difference in safeguarding our environment! Pay:

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
