Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Lead Supervisor for Food Services to oversee daily operations within our dining and nutrition departments. This role is vital in ensuring that all food service activities meet high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. As a leader in this role, you will coordinate team efforts, manage food preparation processes, and ensure compliance with health regulations. Your passion for nutrition, management expertise, and commitment to exceptional service will drive the success of our food programs and enhance the well-being of those we serve. Responsibilities Lead and supervise food service staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on collaboration and excellence Oversee meal planning, preparation, and presentation to ensure nutritional standards and dietary needs are met accurately Implement care plans related to dietary requirements, including tube feeding protocols and patient assessments Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining budget adherence to optimize resource use Conduct regular training sessions on health coaching, physiology knowledge, and dietary best practices Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including proper handling of food and equipment sanitation Collaborate with healthcare teams to support diagnostic evaluations and develop tailored nutrition strategies for residents or patients Requirements Proven supervisory experience within dietary departments or food services environments Strong knowledge of assisted living facilities' dietary needs and patient assessment procedures Familiarity with tube feeding techniques, care plans, and health coaching methodologies Understanding of physiology, nutrition science, and dietetics principles relevant to healthcare settings Experience managing budgets, inventory control, and resource planning in a food service context Leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and oversee daily operations effectively Excellent communication skills for coordinating with healthcare professionals, residents, patients, and staff Join us in making a meaningful impact through nutritious meals and compassionate leadership!
