Overview As a Lead Young Toddler Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe, engaging, and educational atmosphere for toddlers. You will lead classroom activities, develop age-appropriate curricula, and support early childhood development through innovative teaching strategies. Your passion for working with young children will inspire curiosity and promote social, emotional growth during these formative years. Responsibilities Design and implement dynamic lesson plans tailored to toddler developmental stages, including literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning. Lead daily classroom activities that promote a play-based curriculum and support childhood development milestones. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a respectful and inclusive environment. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental needs, and classroom experiences clearly and professionally using Class Dojo App. Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance records, and follow individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention support. Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met by supervising classroom activities and maintaining a clean, organized learning space. Participate in ongoing professional development related to curriculum development, behaviour management, or other educational approaches to enhance teaching effectiveness. Skills Strong knowledge of early childhood education practices, including toddler care and classroom management. Experience in curriculum development with an emphasis on literacy education, math, and physical education tailored for young children. Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members. Proven ability to manage a classroom environment using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques. Background in teaching toddlers or childcare settings with hands-on classroom experience. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures relevant to early childhood assessment tools. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate the PA Early Learning Standards or other child-centered educational philosophies.
