WHAT DOES A OPERATOR DO?
As a new Full Time Operator at Barrett Petfood, you can expect a fast-paced and engaging work environment. Your daily responsibilities will include operating and monitoring manufacturing equipment, ensuring products meet quality standards, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during production. Attention to detail is essential as you'll be responsible for accurately following recipes and protocols. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety regulations. Collaborating closely with your team, you will participate in problem-solving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Your schedule will be one weekday and Saturday + Sunday, from 6 AM to 6 PM, allowing you to immerse yourself in the production process during the night shift. Prepare to adapt to a rhythm that combines teamwork with individual accountability for a fulfilling work experience.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the day-to-day operation of the meat room Train staff on proper meat room workflow and sanitation procedures Enter batch information into Plex Software and manage inventory on a daily basis to ensure product is in stock and accurately counted Mix ingredients together and grind blocks of meat into meat grinder Add oils as needed per customer specifications Unload frozen meat pallets into freezer for storage using forklift Clean meat room equipment at throughout the day and at the end of runs to ensure sanitation of equipment is up to standards Work with a team to ensure product is safely processed in a timely manner
