JOB DESCRIPTION

Direct the day to day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long term care facility. Ensure that all nursing personnel assigned to you comply with the written policies and procedures established by this facility. Participate and cooperate with any facility surveys made by authorized government agencies as requested by the Administrator or Director of Nursing. Participate in implementation of the facility's quality assurance program for the nursing department. Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required providing information to assure continuity of care. Makes daily resident visits to observe and evaluate physical and emotional status. Makes rounds with physician and records visits in the medical record. Ensures that all staff follows the Not No But How concept. Ensure that resident rights are followed. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information (HIPPA). Answer telephone calls when necessary. Performs other duties as required Licensed Practical Nurse LPN may start as early as
