Job Description

Elite Dialysis is a modern outpatient dialysis clinic located in Tamarac, FL, dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease (ESRD). We offer a supportive, team-based environment where patients and staff thrive. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (Charge Nurse) to join our in-center dialysis team. This position oversees nursing services during assigned shifts, supervises PCT staff, and ensures the safe, effective delivery of dialysis treatments. The Charge Nurse serves as a leader on the floor, supporting staff, assisting physicians, and maintaining high standards of patient care. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support PCT staff during operational hours. Pre & Post assessment on all patients. Monitor clinical practices to reduce hospitalizations and missed treatments. Assist physicians during rounds, transcribe, and implement orders promptly. Review patient medication profiles monthly; administer medications as ordered. Support anemia management and medication protocols. Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations. Provide direct patient care when needed, ensuring safe and efficient dialysis treatments. Respond to medical emergencies in the clinic. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in patient assessments and care planning. Serve as a preceptor or mentor for new staff, supporting orientation and training. Act as a clinical resource for staff and participate in policy/procedure updates. Assist the Administrator with staff evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions. Qualifications Current RN license in Florida, in good standing. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience caring for dialysis patients. CPR certification (required within 90 days of hire). Ability to distinguish all primary colors (required for safety testing). Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Proficiency with basic computer applications; EMR experience preferred. Ability to respond effectively in emergent situations and exercise sound judgment.
