ASAP Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW/LCSW) to support patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality psychosocial care, crisis intervention, and care coordination to patients and families.Responsibilities:
Provide psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and emotional support to patients and families Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop discharge and care plans Assist patients with community resources, referrals, and follow-up care coordination Respond to emergency situations including trauma, abuse, mental health crises, and end-of-life care Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational policies Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards Support patient advocacy and ensure culturally competent care Float within scope to meet facility needs as requiredRequired Qualifications:
Active LMSW or LCSW License (State of Alaska or pending accepted) Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required Emergency Room (ER) experience preferred Strong crisis intervention and communication skills Ability to work effectively in high-stress environmentsAdditional Requirements:
