Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including teaching hospitals and internal medicine departments. The LPN will work closely with registered nurses and physicians to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to evaluate health status. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV insertion. Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a laboratory setting to support patient care. Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Support the nursing team in various tasks, ensuring a safe and effective environment for patient care. Requirements Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in PA. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, especially in internal medicine or teaching hospitals. Proficiency in performing vital sign assessments, IV insertion, and patient assessment techniques. Knowledge of cardiac catheterization procedures is highly desirable. Familiarity with laboratory protocols and coding practices is a plus. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while providing compassionate care. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to nursing best practices.
