Job Description
Position Overview
- Work alongside veterinarians as part of a collaborative, caring team, delivering both emergency and preventative medical care to small animals.
- Communicate treatment plans clearly with clients and the broader community.
- Handle all animals gently and compassionately to ensure their comfort and safety at all times.
- Perform technical procedures including animal catheterization, administration of medications, and conducting imaging studies.
- Apply aseptic techniques to maintain sterile environments and prevent infections, especially when assisting with surgical anesthesia.
- Conduct diagnostic laboratory testing, sampling, and reporting as part of medical support.
- Support the workflow, cleanliness, and organization of the veterinary hospital.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and take an active role in client education. Qualifications
- Degree in Veterinary Technology or current enrollment in a relevant program preferred.
- Strong work ethic and effective interpersonal communication skills required.
- Motivation to develop new skills and participate in a team-based approach to compassionate care for pets and the community.
