Licensed Veterinary Technician

Position Overview

• Work alongside veterinarians as part of a collaborative, caring team, delivering both emergency and preventative medical care to small animals.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly with clients and the broader community.
• Handle all animals gently and compassionately to ensure their comfort and safety at all times.
• Perform technical procedures including animal catheterization, administration of medications, and conducting imaging studies.
• Apply aseptic techniques to maintain sterile environments and prevent infections, especially when assisting with surgical anesthesia.
• Conduct diagnostic laboratory testing, sampling, and reporting as part of medical support.
• Support the workflow, cleanliness, and organization of the veterinary hospital.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records and take an active role in client education. Qualifications
• Degree in Veterinary Technology or current enrollment in a relevant program preferred.
• Strong work ethic and effective interpersonal communication skills required.
• Motivation to develop new skills and participate in a team-based approach to compassionate care for pets and the community.
