Job Description

SUMMARY A
Foster Care Licensing Team Leader is responsible for supervision of Case Mangers, and licensing services for families that are interested in becoming licensed with Seven Homes or who are currently licensed with Seven Homes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: 1. Support foster parents in their efforts to provide a safe and healthy environment for foster children 2. Provide in-home visits to ensure licensing standards are maintained and ensure the health and welfare of children in assigned homes 3. Work in partnership with other community resources to provide collaborative services for children, as needed 4. Provide transportation to children in the program, as required 5. Supervise assigned Foster Care Case Managers 6. Specific duties and responsibilities can be found on Pages 3—4 Performs any other functions and duties assigned and necessary for the smooth and efficient operations of Seven Homes.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in social work, human services, or related field 2. Have or be eligible to apply for the Certified Social Worker (CSW) accreditation 3. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including being available for overtime and on-call assignments 4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 5. A valid driver's license 6. Meet agency drug screen, criminal background, and driving record standards for insurance standards
WORK HOURS A
Foster Care Licensing Supervisor typically works 40 hours per week, but the hours will vary based on the unique circumstances surrounding assigned cases. Overtime may be required. In periods of reduced workload or demand, job roles and responsibilities may overlap temporarily.
TECHNOLOGY/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS 1.
English language: speaking, reading, and writing skills needed to complete complex required regulatory documentation 2. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or similar software
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE
  • At a minimum — Quarterly face-to-face contact with assigned licensed families
  • Transport children in the program, as needed o May include but not limited to medical appointments, therapy appointments, supervised visitations, etc.
  • Maintain file compliance for assigned families on a monthly basis o Obtain any documentation necessary for the file, as required by state guidelines o Must present to supervisor monthly, at a minimum, or upon request
  • Attend mandatory monthly Agency-wide meetings
  • Attend mandatory monthly Team meetings
  • Attend mandatory quarterly Staff Team Building Events
  • Attend MAPP classes as assigned by Supervisor and/or Director of Programs
  • Plan and Execute 2 Team Events, annually
  • Provide support to prevent placement disruption, as situation requires
  • Attend appropriate training to ensure current knowledge of social work standards, policies, and laws. o Complete 24 hours of training specific to job roles and responsibilities, annually
  • Review and follow up on Critical Incident Reports pertaining to incidents in assigned children o Submit Critical Incident Report within 72 hours of notification o Follow up until a decision is reached regarding an open CPS investigation o Keep Supervisor and the Director of Programs informed of progress and disposition
  • Maintain positive relationships with Seven Homes families and children, other agencies, and community members, as applicable
  • Assist staff with physical placement of child, as necessary o May include transportation of child to licensed foster home
  • Provide information and initial screening to foster home inquires, as needed
  • Collect and interpret all required documents for licensure and/or home approval (i.e. background screening, inspections, references, etc.) o License assigned families in a timely manner
  • Carries a case load of 32 families, unless unusual circumstances arise.
  • Keep abreast of the cases for the foster children placed into your Teams licensed homes o Hold Team Meeting bi-monthly to include Staff, Regional Supervisor, Referral Coordinator and Director of Programs
  • Turn in "Week at a glance" to Supervisor by Friday at 5:00 p.m. for the next work week Supervision
  • Organizing and Directing — Assign tasks to staff and maintain workload balance
  • Budgeting — Monitors/reports budget for team events
  • Setting Work Standards — Ensure that policies, rules, and regulations are followed
  • Reviewing Work - Monitors the work of staff through file reviews, progress reports, conferences, and informal discussions to ensure compliance with state, operational standards, and established policies on a monthly basis, or upon request
  • Conduct monthly Staff supervision for each staff under purview
  • Counseling and Disciplining — Discusses problems with staff, problem solves and refers any issues for oral/written warnings/write ups for disciplinary action to supervisor and the Director of Programs
  • Performing Other Personnel Functions — Interview applicants with Director of Programs for Case Manager positions and make recommendations to the management team on hiring decisions
  • The Licensing Supervisor facilitates the supervised staff's performance evaluations with their supervisor
  • They will review time off requests from Case Managers for conflict, then inform supervisor of those time off requests o Responsible for making sure that scheduling conflicts do not arise, and that one member of the team is actively available and working should needs arise
