Lifeguard

Woodberry Forest School, located in Madison, VA, is an exceptional private boarding school community for high school boys in grades nine through twelve. It is one of the top boarding schools in the United States and one of the only all-boys, all-boarding schools in the country. Woodberry's 1,200-acre campus is the largest for boarding schools in Virginia, and one of the largest private school campuses in the country.

JOB DUTIES

Ensure patrons sign in as entering the facility Use patron surveillance to prevent injuries Recognize and respond to emergencies by us of Woodberry's Emergency Action plan Appropriately document all situations arising that require lifeguard attention (application of Band-Aid, etc.) Perform daily maintenance tasks, as instructed by Aquatic Director of Aquatic Supervisor Arrive to the pool on time unless otherwise confirmed with the Aquatic Director ahead of time Must attend a pre-season orientation and monthly in-service training sessions during employment

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Lifeguards must be an American Red Cross lifeguard certified Must be age 16 (or older) at the start of the part-time employment
