Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lifeguard and Swim Instructor to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safety of all guests while providing high-quality swimming instruction. The ideal candidate will possess strong swimming skills, lifeguard experience, and a passion for teaching others how to swim. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean pool environment while delivering exceptional guest services. Responsibilities Monitor the pool area to ensure the safety of all swimmers and enforce pool rules. Provide swimming instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels, adapting lessons to meet diverse needs. Perform regular pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning and chemical balancing, to ensure a safe swimming environment. Respond promptly to emergencies, administering first aid and CPR as necessary. Assist with guest services by answering questions and providing information about swim programs and facility features. Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance issues promptly. Engage with guests in a friendly manner, fostering a positive atmosphere at the facility. Qualifications Proven lifeguard experience with valid certifications in CPR and First Aid. Strong swimming skills with the ability to teach various swimming techniques effectively. Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures, including cleaning and chemical management. Excellent guest service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for pool maintenance tasks. A proactive attitude towards safety and a commitment to maintaining a clean environment. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
