Lifeguards are responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, responding to emergencies, and providing excellent customer service to guests. This position is ideal for individuals interested in recreation, public safety, fitness, or youth programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide active surveillance of pool patrons to prevent accidents and injuries Enforce pool rules, safety standards, and facility policies Respond to emergencies, perform water rescues, and administer First Aid/CPR as needed Maintain continuous attention and remain alert while on duty Conduct routine inspections of pool areas and report hazards immediately Deliver professional customer service and assist guests with questions or concernsMinimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years old, per company policy High school diploma or GED preferred (not required) Ability to swim proficiently and pass lifeguard skills assessment Lifeguard Certification, CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification required or willingness to obtain prior to employment. Employer will train. Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during emergencies Reliable attendance and punctualityPreferred Qualifications:
Previous lifeguard, swim instructor, or aquatic experience Experience working with children or in recreation settings Strong communication and teamwork skillsWork Conditions:
Indoor and/or outdoor aquatic facilities Standing, walking, swimming, and physical activity required Exposure to sun, heat, humidity, and chlorinated water $10-11/hr. depending on experience. Paid biweekly.
