Line Cook

JOB SUMMARY

The LineCook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced casino restaurant environment. This role requires consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards. The Line Cook plays a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend all departmental meetings and training as necessary. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner to meet guest expectations and peak service demands Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Assist with inventory management, including proper storage and labeling of food items Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members Monitor food quality and report any issues to kitchen leadership Assist with prep work, including chopping, portioning, and marinating ingredients Adhere to all casino policies, including safety and compliance regulations

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Required:

High school diploma or GED. Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays (typical in casino operations) Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills

Preferred:

Culinary school training or certification Experience in a casino, hotel, or high-volume restaurant setting Knowledge of multiple cuisines or specialty stations (grill, sauté, fryer, etc.) The Quapaw Casino reserves the right to make changes to the above job description whenever necessary 3.31.26 PHYSICAL, MENTAL

Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
