The founder enjoys eating ramen and repeatedly visits Japan to study the essence and different variety of ramen. All of our ramen are sincerely developed by our own ramen masters. The founder cooperated with the masters to create the most unique and rich ramen dishes for Kyuramen. Comparing with other compact ramen restaurants, every Kyuramen location is excessed 3,000 sqf spacious area. Kyuramen is not only focused on the taste of dishes, we also ensure our customers to gain distinctive dinning ambiance and great service by professional and attentive staff. We bring customers to have a bowl of ramen experience to the next level. After the big impact in the East Coast, Kyuramen starts expanding their territory to the West Coast. Arcadia is the first location in California. We, a new generation of experienced food industry management team, sincerely invite you who is passionate, endurable, innovative, and reliable to join the team. As a Line Cook at Kyuramen you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and assisting in maintaining a smooth kitchen operation. Your duties will include : 1. Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare ramen broth (tonkotsu, shoyu, miso, etc.) according to restaurant recipes and standards. Cook and portion noodles accurately to maintain texture and consistency. Prepare toppings such as chashu, soft-boiled eggs, bamboo shoots, corn, and scallions. Assemble ramen bowls with proper presentation and portion control. Ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and presentation standards before serving. 2. Kitchen Operations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and cooking stations. Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies; inform management when stock is low. Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times. Ensure equipment (broth pots, noodle boilers, burners, knives, etc.) is properly maintained and cleaned. 3. Teamwork & Communication Coordinate with kitchen assistants and other chefs for smooth service. Communicate with front-of-house staff regarding order timing or special requests. Train new kitchen staff in ramen preparation and kitchen safety procedures. 4. Quality & Consistency Taste broth and dishes throughout the day to maintain consistent flavor. Adjust seasoning, cooking time, or presentation as needed based on customer feedback. Follow standard recipes while also contributing ideas for seasonal or special ramen dishes. 5. Time & Efficiency Management Prepare mise en place (ingredients setup) before service. Manage multiple ramen orders quickly during peak hours. Minimize food waste through careful portioning and inventory control. The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following skills:
  • Proven experience as a cook in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, menu planning, and catering practices.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food safety procedures and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Passion for the food industry and dedication to delivering high-quality dishes.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
  • Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
