Job Description

This isn't your average MA job. Most medical assistant positions have you rooming patients and taking vitals. Here, you will be in the room with the physician scribing, assisting with procedures, running diagnostics, and actually learning from doctors who want to teach. We are a specialty eye care clinic that believes the people on our team grow when we invest in them. If you are serious about a career in medicine, this is the kind of role that really helps build the experience and confidence on your application What Your Day Looks Like Work directly patients including gather history. Presenting to physicians their patient work ups and learning from physicians by scribing in real-time Assist with in-office ophthalmology procedures like injections and lasers Opportunity to shadow our physicians in the operating room Opportunity to participate in clinical research. Several of previous MAs have published in peer reviewed journals and been sponsored to specialty meetings for poster presentations Operate diagnostic equipment including visual fields, OCT imaging, tonometry, and more Keep the clinic running smoothly: room prep and patient flow Support scheduling and insurance verification when needed You're a Great Fit If You… Are pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing or building toward a graduate health professions program Are a certified MA who wants a setting that actually challenges you Are a recent grad or gap-year student who is driven, curious, and ready to work hard Take documentation seriously, value accuracy and are diligent Want mentorship from physicians Thrive in a focused, specialty environment where every patient visit is purposeful and can follow patients through multiple visits Beyond the day-to-day, this role builds you.
