Many therapists want the freedom of private practice but miss the community and mentorship that helps great clinicians grow . Hale Mana Counseling offers both. At Hale Mana Counseling, the outpatient program of Mana Recovery, we are building something different on
Maui:
a community-centered group practice where therapists collaborate, consult, and grow together while focusing on providing exceptional care to the people of our island. If you love doing therapy but do not want to manage billing, insurance paperwork, and administrative tasks alone, this role allows you to practice excellent therapy while we support the infrastructure behind you. Unlike many private practices that rely on revenue splits, Hale Mana Counseling offers consistent salaried positions with benefits , so your income does not fluctuate due to cancellations, insurance reviews, or billing issues outside of your control. Our clinical team is led by Carmen Cook , a highly respected Maui therapist with over 20 years of experience and a long history of training and mentoring clinicians at the collegiate level. Her vision is to build a collaborative network of therapists committed to clinical excellence and to the well-being of the Maui community. Position Overview We are seeking a Licensed Outpatient Therapist to provide psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Develop and implement treatment plans. Maintain accurate clinical documentation consistent with HIPAA and clinical standards. Participate in case consultation and team collaboration. Utilize telehealth platforms when appropriate. Support clients experiencing challenges such as trauma, grief, addiction, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Qualifications Applicants must hold an active Hawaii license in one of the following: LMHC - Licensed Mental Health Counselor LAMHC - Licensed Associate Mental Health Counselor(Coming in July of 2026) Any other license that allows for the independent or supervised practice of psychotherapy in the state of
Hawaii Preferred:

Our team manages the credentialing process and keeps clinicians informed throughout each step so the transition into practice is smooth. Once an offer is accepted, the position is secured while credentialing is completed. Clinicians who are already credentialed with major Hawaii insurers may be able to begin seeing clients sooner. Future Associate-Level Opportunities Beginning July 2026 , Hawaii law establishes associate-level licensure pathways that allow supervised therapists to provide services eligible for insurance reimbursement. As these opportunities expand, Hale Mana Counseling plans to welcome associate therapists working under supervision as part of our training and mentorship community. $43,540.41 - $88,564.80 per year
