Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Local CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight locally, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload freight, including empty bottles,cans and glass, using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including brake checks, tire conditions, and securing cargo properly Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules within local areas Assist with freight handling tasks such as load securing, weight distribution, and ensuring cargo integrity during transit Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on routes Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements Skills Valid CDL Class A license with experience operating manual transmission trucks Proven truck driving experience with a focus on local deliveries and route driving Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklift or manual methods when required Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo handling Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with local routes and delivery points Effective communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers and customers Join us as a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver and become part of a team that values safety, efficiency, and professionalism. $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
