Local Delivery CDL Driver

Duties Deliver mine material to local coal mines in and around West Virginia. Safely operate various types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks,. Load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of all cargo. Drive assigned routes confidently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records throughout each shift. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road. Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or specialized trailers as needed to ensure safe transport. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle types operated. Proven experience in truck driving, delivery routes, or similar roles involving freight transport. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks is preferred. Experience driving flatbeds, chip vans, or specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus. Knowledge of safety procedures related to load & unload processes and route driving. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. Strong communication skills and a commitment to safe driving practices at all times.
