ASAP About the Position Responsibilities The Chief of Gastroenterology will be responsible for the following clinical and administrative duties: Design and lead a dynamic GI program that emphasizes advanced clinical care, research, and medical education. Expand advanced GI services, including complex endoscopic procedures for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Recruit, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of GI hospitalists, faculty, fellows, and support staff. Act as a hands-on clinical leader, providing expert consultation and management for complex gastroenterology cases. Drive interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly within oncology, through established strategic partnerships with top-tier academic and clinical institutions. Foster workforce development initiatives and build a culture of clinical excellence. Engage with underserved communities to enhance healthcare access and reduce regional disparities. Qualifications & Credentialing This role is open exclusively to Physician candidates (MD/DO) with significant leadership experience.Requirements include:
Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required. An active and unrestricted New Jersey state medical license (or willingness to obtain prior to start). Valid BLS, ACLS, DEA, and CSR/CDS certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start). A background as a Chief or Medical Director, or experience establishing a new clinical program, is highly preferred. Experienced gastroenterologists only; this position is not open to new graduates or APPs. Current NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days) and a full malpractice history disclosure are required at the time of submission. Proof of COVID and Flu vaccination compliance per employer screening protocols. Candidates must not have applied directly to the healthcare facility prior to agency submission.Please note:
