We are also looking for Seasoned & Newly Certified A&P to join our team.
Soloy Helicopters is an Alaskan-owned and operated helicopter charter company based out of Wasilla, Alaska. Providing support for all types of industry and government services, specialising in precision long-line work with core and seismic drill exploration programs. We pride ourselves on our experience and ability to perform long-line external cargo transport across Alaska. Our highly skilled professional pilots average over 7000 hours of flying experience. Soloy Helicopters has decades of experience providing helicopter transportation services and we are always striving to develop new methods to complete our customer's projects safely and efficiently. While we primarily operate in Alaska, we have the ability to mobilize across North America.
As a Shop/Field mechanic your principal responsibilities will be:
Overseeing and performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance; inspections and corrosion control of aircraft components, Airframe & Powerplant.
Remove, inspect, and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components.
Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.
Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks and services.
Perform maintenance operational checks, diagnostics, and troubleshooting aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment as required.
Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as aircraft Technical Manuals while complying with applicable Government and FAA rules & regulations on maintenance.
Perform daily/post-flight inspections as required.
Conduct off-site maintenance when required.
Participate in maintenance test flights and operation checks as required.
Willingness to adjust work schedule in order to ensure aircraft availability to customers.
Willingness to travel to remote field locations throughout Alaska and The Lower 48 States. Requirements
Must be FAA A&P certificated
Preferred experience on
Aircraft Models:
AS350B2/B3/B3e~BK117B2~MD500D Honeywell LTS101, Arriel 2D (Safran), Rolls Royce.
Previous field experience a plus.
Able to legally work in the US.
Effective communication skills.
Clean driving record.
