  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years or more of work-related experience
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy commercial maintenance, including C and D checks
  • 3+ years of experience with interior maintenance and repair, including lavatories, potable systems, panels, carpets, seats, overhead bins, and related components
  • Interpret blueprints, manuals, and other technical documents
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English Language Preferred Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency using safety equipment
  • Operate drill motors, drills, rivet guns, and rivet sets effectively
  • Remove and reinstall interior panels, insulation, floor panels, door thresholds, cockpit seats, cabin seats, overhead bins, cabin window shades, original carpet, original moonwalk, door slides and covers, life rafts, non-skid material, stewardess seats, air grills, seat covers, DATO panels, and Mylar
  • Install emergency equipment in accordance with specifications
  • Service lavatories, fill potable water systems, disinfect lavatories, and clean aircraft interiors
  • Operate a Reader Printer
  • Maintain familiarity with ATA codes, FARs, and company policies and procedures
  • Understand paperwork procedures, including job cards/time cards, routine and non-routine cards, SRMs, service bulletins, and work sign-off/sell-off procedures Job Duties & Functions
  • Execute removal, cleaning, servicing, and replacement of aircraft components using special tooling and ground support equipment according to oral and written instructions
  • Recover aircraft seats and armrests
  • Service aircraft emergency equipment to specifications
  • Train lower skill level personnel while performing assigned maintenance activities
  • Maintain tools and equipment in serviceable condition
  • Adhere to safe maintenance practices and maintain a clean work area
  • Document completed work on OJT forms for the Training Department
  • Complete training courses assigned by the Training Department
  • Support additional assignments as directed by a supervisor Physical Requirements & Environment
  • Work under general direction following established methods, procedures, and desired outcomes
  • Exercise limited discretion when selecting among identifiable choices
  • Move throughout various sections of the aircraft during maintenance operations
  • Utilize dexterity to remove, repair, and replace systems or components efficiently
  • Maintain mental agility while performing under stress and physical exertion during extended work hours
  • Distinguish colors to perform assigned work adequately
  • Stand approximately 90% of the workday on hard surfaces
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
