Job Summary
Aircraft Electrical Technician (Beale AFB, CA)
SkyBridge Aviation is hiring Aircraft Electrical Technicians to support aircraft modification and avionics/electrical work at Beale AFB, California.
The Aircraft Electrical Technician will support the Beale AFB MOD Team and Avionic Tech Refresh program. This position will repair, construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain aircraft electrical systems and equipment.
The technician must have experience terminating, routing, and building electrical connectors and cannon plugs. Work may include aircraft electrical wiring, shielding and grounding, electrical components, and troubleshooting using technical drawings, specifications, and electrical test equipment.
Responsibilities:
Terminate, route, and build electrical connectors and cannon plugs
Repair, construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment
Cut, thread, bend, couple, and strap conduit
Cut wire and conduit to required lengths
Install, repair, or replace electrical components including switch boxes, lights, plugs, sockets, fuses, and related equipment
Disassemble motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repair
Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions
Inspect circuits and wiring, including shielding and grounding
Test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, layouts, and other specifications
Use electrical hand tools and voltage or amperage measuring and recording devices
Pay:
$40.00-$45.00 per hour based on experience
Requirements
Requirements:
Previous military experience preferred
USAF 7-Level or equivalent journeyman-level experience
2-4 years of aircraft modification experience
Experience with aircraft electrical or avionics systems
Experience terminating, routing, and building connectors/cannon plugs
Ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, and specifications
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems and malfunctions
Preferred Experience:
Fighter aircraft experience is a plus
Aircraft modification experience preferred
Aircraft avionics or electrical environmental experience preferred
