Standard Job Description What You Will Be Doing:
You will be the U-2 Aircraft Modification Technician for the Aircraft Modification Team which is responsible for delivering precise (Structural) modifications to U-2 Aircraft stationed at Beale AFB, California. Additional requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Heavy Depot Level Maintenance, Repair and modification of the aircraft structure and major subassembly's. Plan, layout, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair various sheet metal and structural assemblies and sub-assemblies utilizing precision measuring equipment.
- The candidate will be able to complete jobs in maintenance data collection systems, adhere to all technical orders, fault isolation manuals, ground operating procedures and local operational instructions.

Physical Requirements:
This position may include certain required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry Basic Qualifications The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:- Minimum 5 years experience with Aircraft maintenance and/or modification activities
- Must have held a USAF skill level 7 (or equivalent) in their career field.
- Experienced in Aircraft Structural repair and installation
- Be able to read & interpret blueprints and schematics Desired Skills The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from other candidates:
- U-2 Nose to Tail experience in Structures experience.
- Aircraft MOD Experience
- USAF Trained certified in structural repair.
- Possess previous instructor / training experience.
- Heavy Depot Maintenance experience
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
$37.55- $69.
