HOME-BASED Updated 07/2026 Job Description Job Summary KaiserAir is advertising an immediate opening for a part time Maintenance Controller. The Maintenance Controller is an extension of the Manager of Maintenance and serves as the central point for all maintenance related items when flights are active. This individual will work in either Oakland or Santa Rosa as home base. The Maintenance Controller is the primary communication and coordination link between the maintenance department and Flight Following for all active flights. This individual will ensure that all work performed is accomplished in accordance with the company Manual System and FAA regulations. Duties and Responsibilities The work of a Maintenance Controller includes, but is not limited to: Review current Maintenance Status of Aircraft and/or components, ensuring there is sufficient time remaining before the next due (limiting) maintenance item to make the scheduled trip. Coordinate completion of any required preflight checks Responsible for tracking oil consumption for ETOPS aircraft Coordinate and arrange any and all resources needed to keep or return the aircraft to flight status Coordinate maintenance away from home base Monitor usage and replenishment of Fly-Away Kit Monitor
MEL/CDL/NEF
on aircraft during active flights Responsible for flight time records Assist technicians and inspectors with access to manuals and releasing of aircraft. Additional duties as assigned by the Manager of Maintenance Requirements High school diploma or equivalent FAA Airframe and Powerplant license Minimum five years of experience with Boeing product preferably 737NG Familiarity with Boeing AMM, SRM, MEL and FIM a must Boeing 737NG General Familiarity Prior Maintenance Control experience a plus Ability to work multiple shifts and weekends Ability to work extended shifts Participation in KaiserAir's approved drug testing program Strong work ethic Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record Must have a positive attitude Must be willing and able to perform duties as a team member.
