We are currently hiring full-time and rotational positions at our Northern California home base of Redding, CA, to support our fleet of Bell 206, B407HP, B407GXi and B429 Series aircraft configured for Fire Fighting, NVG, Law Enforcement, External Lift and Utility Operations throughout various locations in the Western United States. Our A&P Field/Base Mechanics perform a variety of helicopter maintenance functions including, but not limited to, detailed scheduled/unscheduled inspections, servicing, preventative maintenance, minor and major repairs and/or alterations. Our Field/Base Mechanics perform base maintenance duties while in the field as well as maintain all support equipment and drive the fuel service vehicles. Requirements
All Candidates interested in joining the Air Shasta team as a 407/429 Field Mechanic, will need to possess the following;
FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P). 2 years minimum as a licensed mechanic on B407/B429, or 1 year licensed with Bell Factory Course.
Must be Cardable - Previous
USFS/OAS
Carding Preferred.
Knowledge of FAR's- 91, 133, 135 and 145 is preferred. Knowledge, experience and prior training on any of the following aircraft is preferred;
B206, B407, B429, H-60
series.
Commercial Drivers License with
HAZMAT/TANK
Endorsements required.
If you're not in possession of HAZMAT, but possess other ideal qualifications, you must be willing to obtain your HAZMAT & Commercial License immediately after hire
Ability to work independently and tolerates high stress levels while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism.
