Primary Responsibilities:
The Aircraft Inflatable Technician is responsible for the assembly and repackaging of inflatable products in accordance to the Original Equiptment Manufacturing (OEM) specifications and written procedures under general supervision.
Responsibilities :
Read and interpret data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection, and testing procedures, accept units that are to be maintained from the receiving inspection process, ensure all items are accounted for and the assembly is ready for packing. Perform duties such as manual lifting, pulling, pushing, and tugging to repackage articles, use proper tooling to repackage inflatables in accordance with OEM/CMM and/or approved data. Insert units into oven, when necessary, work in conjunction with the inspector to provide continuity in the packing process, ensure that all parts and components are in airworthy condition before packing. Measure dimensions and/or use templates to verify specified dimensions or settings meet OEM guidelines, and confirm all packing aids are accounted for. Completes documents and forms applicable to the work task. Carry out duties in accordance to QCM/RSM written specifications and procedures. Ensure any relevant Airworthiness Directives (AD's) are applied. Check that Service Bulletins are complied with when applicable to the required task. Maintain the working area in an organized and neat condition, observe and follow all safety rules and policies. Maintain an acceptable level of productivity as determined by department requirements and provide team member support.
Requirements:
High school Diploma/GED Previous inflatable packing experience preferred (i.e parachute, marine raft, etc) Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail Able to read a tape measure Basic math skills Able to work in team environment Ability to read, write & understand English Trained in qualified in accordance with OJT requirement Ability to read and interpret blueprints, documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals.
Physical Requirements:
Required to frequently stand, bend, stooping, squatting, pushing/pulling, kneeling and walking The employee will intermittently sit Frequently use hands to handle, grasp, squeeze or feel; reach with hands and arms Must see in the normal visual range of the unit with or without correction Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Continuously bend, twist, and kneel Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with assistance
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
