JOB SUMMARY
Western Aircraft is hiring A&P Aircraft Maintenance Technicians responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and servicing of aircraft using test equipment and hand tools, as needed, to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications.

SCHEDULEMonday-Friday 7am-4pm (minimum 40 hours per week)ORFriday/Saturday/Sunday (three 12-hour shifts, compensated for 40 hours)SIGN-ON BONUSUp to $25,000 sign-on bonus / relocation incentive available depending on experieDuties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms routine maintenance and inspections on general aviation aircraftEnsures proper care of customer property through all phases of workAccurately completes required paperwork and work order details in CorridorContinually keeps clean and organized work area including personal toolboxUnderstands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner to accomplish work
Qualifications & Job RequirementsExperience :
Minimum three (3) years' experience working with general aviation airframes supported by Western AircraftAdvanced troubleshooting abilitiesBroad knowledge of aircraft systemsAble to work overtime as needed, evenings and weekendsAble to work independently and as part of a teamEffective oral and written communication skillsPositive attitude, professional appearance, and demeanorBasic sheet metal skills and/or basic electrical capabilities considered a plusGulfstream / Falcon / Embraer / Citation / Pilatus / Piper / King Air experience preferred
Education :
Airframe & Powerplant certifications requiredOther PrerequisitesPass pre-employment drug screen and background checkAbility to obtain Airport Issued security badgeWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed in an aircraft hangar environment with moderate noise level. The employee is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Must have the ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and 25 pounds overhead.
