Job Description

Job Summary

We are searching for a talented A&P Mechanic to maintain the airframe and engines of aircraft to meet FAA and Manufacturer standards. The position will support aircraft for utility and powerline work, US Forest Service Contracts, CALFIRE, and other contracts as needed. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance and will perform duties of a licensed A&P Mechanic on Bell 412 airframes. The position requires confidence in and around helicopter operations, maintaining alertness to multiple concurrent activities, excellent communication, and a commitment to safe and conscientious commercial motor vehicle operations.

Responsibilities

Aircraft Maintenance:

Perform scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and alterations on Bell 412 airframes in compliance with FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and company policies

Ground Support:

Support flight operations through aircraft refueling, tracking fuel quantities, hooking and removing long lines, and ensuring landing zone safety

Fleet Operations:

Operate company fleet vehicles, including trucks transporting hazardous materials, complying with DOT regulations

Comply with company Employee Manual, GOM, SMS, SOPs and Ops Specs

Positively represent Lohman Helicopter through a professional and favorable appearance to the public and to the companies and entities that we work with

Participate in out-of-town travel, work, and overtime work, as required

Actively participate in the company SMS program and make safety a priority at all times

Other Duties as Assigned

Due to the nature of small business operations, it is necessary to fulfill task requirements of varied nature to support the company's needs

Requirements

Qualifications & Licenses

Certifications:

Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License

Experience:

2 years of aircraft maintenance experience on Bell 412 airframes and 18 months of helicopter maintenance experience within the last 24 months

Previous experience working under CFR Part 135

Tools:

Must own a basic aviation toolset

Must pass a background check and DOT drug test

Clean driving record and ability to maintain/obtain a Class C CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (within 90 days) and a DOT Medical Certificate (within 14 days)

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently

Relocation to Northern Idaho is desired, and additional compensation for candidates willing to relocate Compensation
