Job Description

Job Summary

We are searching for a talented Avionics Technician with a strong background in aircraft avionics systems inspections, installations, troubleshooting, and repair. This position reports to the Director of Maintenance and will perform duties on a wide range of company aircraft avionics systems to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Install avionics components and wiring according to Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs), wiring diagrams, and drawings

Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems, components, and related electrical wiring

Interpret technical data, including manuals, schematics, blueprints, and service bulletins

Document all maintenance actions, repairs, and alterations in accordance with FAA requirements

Comply with company Employee Manual, GOM, SMS, SOPs, and Ops Specs

Positively represent Lohman Helicopter through a professional and favorable appearance to the public and to the companies and entities that we work with

Participate in out-of-town travel, work, and overtime work, as required

Actively participate in the company SMS program and make safety a priority at all times

Other Duties as Assigned

Due to the nature of small business operations, it is necessary to fulfill task requirements of varied nature to support the company's needs

Requirements

Qualifications & Licenses

Experience:

2 years of aircraft avionics inspection, installation, troubleshooting, and repair required

Excellent troubleshooting skills and solid knowledge of aircraft mechanical and electrical systems functions and interactions

Tools:

Must own a basic aviation toolset

Certifications:

Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License preferred but not required

Must pass a background check and DOT drug test

Clean driving record

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently

Relocation to Northern Idaho is desired, and additional compensation for candidates willing to relocate
