AIRCRAFT MECHANIC
(TITEL 32), WG-8852-5/8/10, you will inspect, repair, modify, and service aircraft systems, components, and assemblies, both on- and off-aircraft. Major Duties
- This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Perform inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft including periodic, phase, hourly, preflight, postflight, calendar, thru-flight, and special inspections.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION
The areas of considerion for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), in the following manner and sequence: The FIRST area of considerion for this position all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. The SECOND area of considerion all current Federal Employees. The THIRD area of considerion all Federal re-employment eligible. The FOURTH area of considerion applicants willing to become T32 Dual Stus Technicians and gain ILNG membership. The FIFTH area of considerion U.S. Citizens.Military Grades :
Enlisted Only- Minimum rank requirement of A1C and May not exceed the rank of TSgt.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: WG-10 Level- MUST possess specialized experience which includes experience or training installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting, and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modificion.
- MUST possess specialized experience which includese xperience or training in the use of common hand tools to make mechanical repairs.
- MUST possess specialized experience which includes experience or training th has provided the skill to remove and replace aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specificions.
